Scope On The Siwan Culture
This culture center was design for a site at the entrance of Siwah Oasis, located in the Western Desert, Egypt. The aim of the research was to integrate the local vernacular building methods with modern technological environmental solutions that have been developed and tested in other regions of the Sahara desert.
The Siwan culture is still a pristine culture awing to the fact that there has not been any paved routes leading to it until 1985. The concept behind the design is to allow tourists to emerge into a pristine culture without affecting its fundamental structure, while still attempting to help the inevitable progress of the Oasis to be as unique as its history.
This was the MArch thesis, which was awarded a design award by the Salt Lake City, Utah, architectural community and the CA+P , The University of Utah, Faculty.

Scope On Egyptian History
This project is an anthropological museum, located on the edge of Alexandria harbor, Egypt. The conceptual design is that ever ring represents a chapter within the Egyptian history. This diameter of each ring corresponds to influence of each epoch, an is parametrically morphed according to the anthropological prosperity or decay within. The last ring is a symbol for a new, foreseen chapter that aspires to a stronger modern chapter of this country.
This was one of my early attempts in parametric design, via 3DViz – pre 3DMAX 3D architectural curve forms.
The initial concept is based on a poem by Salah Jaheen (1960’s Egyptian poet).
